In celebration of May as National Mental Health Awareness Month, we will discuss how transitional age youth can combat mental health stigma and discrimination in their daily lives.
About the webinar:
The issues of stigma and discrimination are prevalent for transitional age youth (TAY), which are people ages 16 to 24. One in five TAY have mental health concerns, and only 20 percent of youth with mental health experiences receive services. Approximately 50 percent of students 14-years-old and older with mental health experiences drop out of high school.
