Understanding the Proposal for a New Grievance Process for Regional Center Clients

When: February 24, 2026

The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is creating a new grievance process that would go into effect in July 2026. The new process will allow people to complain about alleged violations of the federal Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Settings Rule, and overhaul the 4731 complaint process. Join DRC to learn more about these proposed changes, why they are happening, and how they may affect you.
