Community Engagement and Workshop Request
DISCLOSURE:
Disability Rights California (DRC) works with Californians with disabilities and organizations by providing legal information and education. If you're interested in having DRC participate in a workshop, panel, or community event, we'd like to help. We prioritize requests based on community need and will contact you directly.
Please fill out the form below and submit. Someone from our team will contact you.
NOTE: Our workshops offer general legal information for educational purposes only. We cannot give advice about your specific situation during these workshops. If you are a person with a disability and need help with your unique circumstances, please visit Get Help Page for individual assistance.
Workshop Requirements
Workshops are group trainings on specific topics related to disability rights. We generally aim for around 10 participants to ensure a meaningful group experience, whether in person or virtual. Our staff availability and expertise will determine the topics we cover. If we cannot cover a requested topic, we may provide a referral.
Note: We may cancel or reschedule workshops based on enrollment levels. We may adjust dates and times to accommodate participant availability and ensure optimal group dynamics.

Community Events
DRC participates in community events, resource fairs, tabling, booths and festivals. Participation at community events will depend on staffing availability, geographic location, and available funding.
Legal Clinics
Legal Clinics are workshops followed by brief individual consultations where people with disabilities, their parents, or their authorized representatives can receive personalized legal information and guidance about their specific situations. Organizations or groups seeking advice regarding their policies, procedures, or institutional rights should consult with a private attorney.
Request Form
Individuals, organizations, community and parent groups can complete this form to request a workshop, legal clinic, or to have DRC participate in a community outreach event.
