    Vào ngày 21 tháng Mười Hai năm 2023, Sở Dịch Vụ Xã Hội California (California Department of Social Services, CDSS) đã ban hành hướng dẫn triển khai các thay đổi trong luật tiểu bang để xóa bỏ những giới hạn về thời điểm phụ huynh có thể trở thành nhà cung cấp IHSS được trả thù lao của con mình là trẻ vị thành niên khuyết tật, có hiệu lực từ ngày 19 tháng Hai năm 2024.
