Join the Board of Disability Rights California

DRC is the largest disability rights advocacy group in the nation, established by federal law to protect and advocate for Californians with disabilities. Last year we assisted more than 24,000 individuals and hundreds of thousands more benefited from our systems litigation, policy work, training, and publications. You can help us create a barrier-free, inclusive, diverse world where Californians with disabilities enjoy equal rights, dignity, choice, independence and freedom from abuse, neglect, and discrimination.

The roles and responsibilities of being a DRC Board member include a commitment of at least 2-5 hours a month and, at times, does require meeting during business hours, some weekends, and some travel for in-person Board meetings, which typically occur quarterly over the course of 2 days.

For a reasonable accommodation related to accessibility to complete DRC’s online Board application, please contact DRCBoardApplications@disabilityrightsca.org for instructions on how to submit your information.

The application submission deadline is October 15, 2023.
