Join us for an In-Person Event
Join the California Disability Leadership Alliance and rally for our rights. Event will include live performances by disabled artists, speeches, information booths and more.
The disability community is coming out to show our strength and rally for our rights on June 16, 2025! This is a new gathering for a new day. Together, we will make the state feel the power of our collective spirit. Disabled people need to be at the table where decisions are made.
The California Disability Leadership Alliance (CDLA), a coalition of disability and D/deaf leaders from disability-led organizations, is hosting our inaugural CDLA Day at the Capitol on June 16th between 11:00 – 1:30pm. Hundreds of disabled individuals, allies, and advocates from around the state are set to the Capitol. The program includes a diverse list of disabled speakers, a Latine dance troupe of dancers with disabilities, comedian Nina G. and others. Legislative Disability Caucus Chair, Assemblymember Isaac Bryan, and Vice Chair, Assemblymember Tom Lackey, will address the crowd in addition to Asm. Ortega and Senator Durazo.
There will also be a resource fair for individuals looking to get connected to organizations and services.
