Join us for an In-Person Event

Be part of building a more inclusive and accessible Los Angeles. Join us for a Disability Pride Month community gathering. 

Disability Rights California invites you to stop by our Downtown Los Angeles office for an afternoon of connection, conversation, and shared purpose. 

This is a drop-in gathering, designed to fit into your day. Come and go as your schedule allows, whether for a few minutes or longer. Spend time connecting with others who are committed to advancing equity, access, and disability justice.

About the Event:

For 48 years, DRC has worked to advance the rights of Californians with disabilities in education, employment, housing, independence, health, and safety. Today, we continue that work in partnership with disabled people to defend rights, advance opportunities, grow power, and expand public support for disability justice across California and beyond. 

DRC leadership, including our CEO, Andy Imparato will be present and look forward to connecting. 

What to expect: 

  • Flexible, come-and-go format 
  • Meaningful connection and conversation 
  • Build connections with DRC staff, Board members, leadership, and others shaping work that advances equity and access across California 
  • Share what’s shaping your work and priorities 
  • Coffee and light bites from vendors who support the disability community 
  • Take-home DRC materials and swag 
  • A welcoming, accessible space centered on belonging and community

Special Flavours is run by the Special Needs Network, empowering youth and adults with autism and developmental disabilities by providing them with professional culinary and customer service training.
