How to Join a Zoom Meeting/Webinar

Should you experience any problems connecting to video, please join the meeting by phone.

Important!! If you’ve previously downloaded Zoom, check to see if you have the latest version before joining a meeting by clicking on the following link:

New to Zoom? Before joining a Zoom meeting on a computer or mobile device, you can download the Zoom app from the following link Download Center.

Otherwise, you will be prompted to download and install Zoom when you click a Join link.

How do I join a Zoom meeting?

You can join a meeting by clicking the Join Zoom Meeting link that has been sent via email and/or included in a calendar slip, or visiting https://zoom.us/join and entering in the meeting ID (also found in the calendar slip or email). For those Joining Using their Computer - Windows or Mac:

Click the Join Zoom Meeting link (located in the email/calendar slip/or agenda).
Depending on your default web browser, it may ask you if you want to allow this page to open “zoom.us”? Please click Allow.
Enter the meeting ID number and your name.
Select if you would like to connect audio and/or video and click Join.

Joining by Landline Telephone:

On your phone, dial the teleconferencing number provided in the calendar slip, email, and/or agenda.
Enter the meeting ID number when prompted using your dial pad.

Note: If you have already joined the meeting via computer, you will have the option to enter your 2-digit participant ID to be associated with your computer. If you have not joined on your computer, simply press # again when prompted to enter in your participant ID.

Joining by Android Phone:

Open the Zoom mobile app. If you have not downloaded the Zoom mobile app yet, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
After installation, open the app and click on Join a Meeting. Enter the meeting ID found in the email/calendar slip/or agenda.
Enter your name under “Join with a personal link name”.
Select if you would like to connect audio and/or video and tap Join Meeting.
Then click Join.

Joining by iPhone:

Open the Zoom mobile app. If you have not downloaded the Zoom mobile app yet, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
After installation, open the app and click on Join a Meeting. Enter the meeting ID found in the email/calendar slip/or agenda.
Enter your name under “Join with a personal link name”.
Select if you would like to connect audio and/or video and tap Join Meeting.
Then click Join.

How do I join computer/device audio?

On most devices, you can join computer/device audio by clicking Join Audio, Join with Computer Audio, or Audio to access the audio settings. Click the following hyperlink if you want more information from the Zoom Website. Learn more about connecting your audio.

Can I Use Bluetooth Headset?

Yes, as long as the Bluetooth device is compatible with the computer or mobile device that you are using.

Do I have to have a webcam to join on Zoom?

While you are not required to have a webcam to join a Zoom Meeting, you will not be able to transmit video of yourself if you do not have a webcam/camera. You will continue to be able to listen and speak during the meeting, share your screen, and view the webcam video of other participants.
