The Game Plan
In 2025 DRC was proud to launch our flagship podcast, The Game Plan. Hosted by our Associate Executive Director of External Affairs Eric Harris, The Game Plan draws its name and theme from Eric’s formative years as an elite wheelchair basketball player. The Game Plan is a space to strategize, organize, and posterize for the future of the disability rights movement. In our first year we hosted an incredible lineup of disability leaders, thinkers, activists, artists, and policymakers, across generations, across disabilities, and across liberation movements.
In our first year, guests including Demystifying Disability author Emily Ladau, activist/writer Yolo Akili Robinson, and Sacramento City Councilmember Mai Vang and many more have joined and lent their unique perspective and expertise to continue deepening and widening our collective work.
The Game Plan comes out monthly and we’re only just beginning; we look forward to continuing to have All-Star conversations to enrich, strategize, and uplift the vast diversity of the disability rights movement.
As DRC Public Policy Analyst Tremmel Watson said in his appearance on Episode 5, “An analogy about a candle: when I take my candle and I light your candle, my candle don’t lose no light!” That’s real.
