Are you a renter with a disability in California and have questions about evictions? Learn about your rights in this workshop, which will cover eviction notice requirements, what to do if you receive an eviction notice, and tips for resolving or even preventing these issues.

About the virtual workshop:
Join DRC’s Equal Access and Housing Practice Group for an explanation of the legal requirements for eviction notices in California. This will include what information must be in the notice, how it should be served, and ways a tenant can respond.
We will also discuss strategies for resolving and hopefully even avoiding an eviction notice. This workshop focuses on the pre-unlawful detainer notice and will not address unlawful detainer litigation.
If you still have questions about your [workshop topic] issue after the event, you may have a chance for a private 15-minute consultation with a DRC team member. Consultations are limited and are not guaranteed. Instructions will be given at the workshop.

Speaker:
Tiffany Hickey, Tiffany Hickey, Staff Attorney with the Equal Access and Housing Practice Group - Tiffany is an attorney specializing in housing law and committed to empowering marginalized communities, including low-income tenants, tenants with limited English proficiency, and people with disabilities. Currently a Staff Attorney II at Disability Rights California, she focuses on advocating for clients' rights, educating and empowering tenants, and promoting housing equity. Previously, Tiffany worked at the Asian Law Caucus, where she defended tenants against eviction and coordinated housing policy advocacy. At Bay Area Legal Aid, she represented clients in subsidized housing and mentored new attorneys. Tiffany’s passion for housing justice drives her work in helping clients navigate legal challenges and fight for their rights.
