Speaker:
Claire Haider (they/them/theirs) is a hearing person with lived experience with mental illness and experience navigating the mental health system. They have known American Sign Language for almost fifteen years and have experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Currently they are working for the California Office of Patients’ Rights (COPR) and Peer Self-Advocacy Program (PSA) at Disability Rights California, working with their peers to advocate for patient’s rights and teach self-advocacy skills in the community.
