About the webinar:

Tenants with disabilities have strong housing rights and there are specific rules that housing providers must follow to accommodate them. Join us to learn about your right to ask for a “reasonable accommodation” or “reasonable modification” – adjustments to rules, policies, services, and even the physical layout of your home to make it more accessible for you. We will review best practices, discuss potential costs, and go over what to expect once you have made your requests.

If you still have questions after the workshop, you'll get a chance to chat with a Housing Stability Project team member in a private 15-minute consultation. If you need more in-depth support, we can set up a separate appointment for you.

Reasonable Accommodations: Spanish interpretation will be offered

Speakers:

Kristen Evans is a Staff Attorney with the Housing Stability Project and will host this webinar. The Housing Stability Project (HSP) is a small team of advocates, social workers, and attorneys providing free limited, short-term legal services on housing issues to people with disabilities throughout California. We believe that sharing knowledge and connecting people to resources will empower people with disabilities to be able to make the best housing decisions for themselves.
