About the webinar:

During COVID-19, many students with disabilities experienced significant educational challenges. Under state and Federal law, school districts should have supported these students by providing assessments, holding IEP meetings, and ensuring special education services. Recently, the California Department of Education responded to a complaint filed by Disability Rights California. It ordered Los Angeles Unified School District to correct its failures to provide Special Education during COVID-19. The purpose of this meeting is to explain how to know whether students were harmed by LAUSD’s failures, and, if so, what kind of action the District has to take to correct these failures.
