Medicaid Changes Part 3: How Federal Medicaid Changes Affect Californians with I/DD
Join us for a live webinar
If you are a person with a disability in California or their circle of support, we want you to know about these upcoming changes to Medicaid. Building on the discussions from parts 1 and 2 of this series, we will give an overview of the latest state and federal policy changes and discuss issues specific to people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
This event is part 3 of a 3-part series on Medicaid changes.
When:
Monday, November 17, 2025
5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Pacific Time
About the webinar:
Medicaid is an important funder of the regional center system in California, and it pays for many services for people with I/DD. This summer, two sets of policies were passed that will cause changes to Medicaid over the next several years. The California state legislature passed changes in the 2025 state budget, and the federal government passed changes in House Resolution 1.
Presenters from DRC’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Practice Group will discuss:
- The direct and indirect changes that federal policy will have on Medicaid funding updates.
- An overview of the upcoming state budget process.
- The advocacy that we expect for the year ahead.
For more information about DRC’s advocacy on this issue, you can watch our town hall.
