Disability Rights California has been honored as a winner in the inaugural Anthem Awards, along with many other organizations committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

DRC works for a world where all disabled people have power and are treated with dignity and respect. Our goal with these projects is to highlight diverse intersectional disabled communities and to promote and advance voices, stories and images often not seen, told or represented in media.
Invisible No More: Voices of Intersectional Asian American and Pacific Island (AAPI) Communities
In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we were proud to be able to share this video with you of stories often left out of mainstream society. We celebrated voices from across disability and intersectional AAPI communities sharing our struggles and triumphs, and affirm through it, that we will be “Invisible No More!”
On behalf of all of us at Disability Rights California (DRC), and in collaboration with California Association of the Deaf, Southern California Asian Deaf Association, Society for the Blind, and NorCal Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, we hope you come away affirmed, of our collective humanity and the importance of our collective voices.

Disability Justice Is About Us
Disability Rights California celebrates Black History Month with this video featuring members of its staff and the disability community. Black History Month, February, is a time to remember the incredible achievements and contributions of Black people.
The Disability Justice movement, which empowers people with disabilities must include the perspectives and voices of Black people. People with disabilities who have intersectional identities have unique experiences and add value to make people with disabilities lives better.
Separated by the Pandemic but United by the Community
Each year, the U.S. observes National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central & South America.
National Hispanic Heritage Month traditionally honors the culture and contributions of both Latinx and Hispanic Americans. The history and accomplishments of these groups in the shaping of the country are celebrated as well as their immeasurable contributions to our economy, culture, and society.
