I am the Director of the Office of Clients’ Rights Advocacy. I have been with OCRA for over ten years, working as a supervisor and as the Clients’ Rights Advocate for clients of both Harbor Regional Center and North Los Angeles County Regional Center.
I have worked at Disability Rights California as a temporary, part-time advocate at the Regional Center of Orange County since December 1996. Before that, I was a staff attorney at a legal aid office representing people from poor and underserved communities. I have worked in civil litigation, family law and immigration.
In 1999, I started my work as Clients's Rights Advocate serving clients of SG/PRC. I have been a Supervising Clients' Rights Advocate since August 2001.
Impacted by friends and a family served by the regional center system, I first began working with individuals served by the regional center as a volunteer with OCRA. Prior to becoming the Clients' Rights Advocate at Tri-Counties Regional Center and Central Valley Regional Center, I was the interim Clients' Rights Advocate at several OCRA offices. I received my law degree from Santa Barbara College of Law and have family here so I am excited about the opportunity to return to the Tri-Counties area .
Prior to my current role as a Supervising Clients' Rights Advocate in 2013, I served as the Clients' Rights Advocate at various Offices of Clients' Rights Advocacy in Southern California, most recently as the CRA for the Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center consumers and families. I also worked for over 2-years at the L.A. Regional Office for Disability Rights California as an Associate Managing Attorney. I have experience representing consumers in obtaining services from the school districts, regional centers, IHSS, CCS, SSI and Medi-Cal.
I am originally from Buffalo, NY and went to college in northern California. I then worked in Missouri as a case manager for children in the mental health system. I noticed that people with disabilities tend to have complicated legal issues. Because of this, I began attending law school in the evenings, and graduated from St. Louis University School of Law with a certificate in Health Law.
Ryan Bradley was born and raised in San Jose, California and graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a BS in Political Science. He graduated from UCLA Law School, where he was a member of the school’s Public Interest Law Foundation. After graduation he joined the East Los Angeles office of Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles [LAFLA], where he specialized in government benefits and student loan discharge cases. After eight years in the East Los Angeles office, he transitioned to LAFLA’s Santa Monica office where he specialized in both government benefits and landlo
I have been working with Disability Rights California for 20 + years now, and I have had the opportunity to work in Sac Regional as well as the OCRA Unit. I enjoy being part of an agency that has made huge changes for people with disabilities so that they can live life as they choose. One day at a time.
