What is the HIV/AIDS Medi-Cal Waiver Program?
The HIV/AIDS Medi-Cal Waiver Program (the “AIDS Waiver”) provides case management and direct care services to persons living with HIV/AIDS as an alternative to nursing facility care or hospitalization. You can use this service to help you stay at home, or to go home from a facility.
There are different Medi-Cal programs to help people with disabilities and seniors stay in their homes. These programs can help them return home from places like hospitals and nursing homes. This pub gives you information about these programs. It tells you what to do if you need help getting one of the programs.
