AB 516 - Authority to remove vehicles.
This bill would delete the authority of a peace officer or public employee to remove or immobilize a vehicle found upon a highway or public lands by the peace officer when it is known the owner has been issued 5 or more notices of parking violations that are delinquent and deletes the authority to remove a vehicle parked or left standing for 72 or more consecutive hours in violation of a local ordinance, or a vehicle with a registration expiration date in excess of 6 months found or operated on the highway or on public lands or in an offstreet parking facility.
SB 144 - Criminal fees
This bill would eliminate a series of administrative fees that may be charged to defendants charged with a crime or convicted of a crime and are related to the crime. At every point in the criminal legal process, California state law authorizes counties to charge administrative fees.
SB 412 - Developmental services: fees
This bill would repeal provisions relating to regional center fees. The bill would make technical, conforming changes and other nonsubstantive changes.
