Join Disability Rights California’s Open House in Los Angeles and win exciting door prizes while helping us celebrate achievementsAn open house to celebrate 30 years of working to improve life for Californians with disabilities will be held Friday, December 12, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Los Angeles office of Disability Rights California. We welcome all involved in the disability rights field or those who would like to learn more about our work. Founded in 1978 as Protection & Advocacy, Inc., the organization’s board decided to change the name to Disability Rights California to more accurately describe our work. California Assembly members Karen Bass and Michael Feuer will present a resolution in recognition of 30 years of achievements in advocating for the civil and human rights of people with all types of disabilities. Retiring Senate member Sheila Kuehl and Assembly members Bass and Feuer will be given awards for their extraordinary support of Californians with disabilities. Wide range of door prizesTo show our appreciation for community support, all non-staff participants in the open house will be eligible to win a wide range of prizes.
