Paula Pearlman will be the new Executive Director of Disability Rights Legal Center

The Disability Rights Legal Center has named Paula Pearlman to be its next Executive director. She will replace Eve Hill, who retired earlier this year.

As we close the DRLC office for 2007 and turn our minds to 2008, we are pleased to announce that the search for a new Disability Rights Legal Center Executive Director has been brought to a very successful conclusion.

As soon as Eve Hill announced that she planned to leave in November 2007, the Board of Directors initiated a nationwide search for a new leader who would build on the excellence that Eve Hill helped us achieve, a visionary attorney whose leadership would build an ever-stronger Disability Rights Legal Center. The search convened numerous groups of staff and board members.

After having screened dozens of candidates, both locally and nationally, the Board of Directors found that the most outstanding of them - not all surprisingly - was right here at home. We are therefore pleased to announce that beginning January 1, 2008, Paula Pearlman, the present Deputy Director, will be the next Executive Director of the Disability Rights Legal Center.
